David McLay Kidd, Architect
My golf resolution is to make sure I
consider EVERY golfer when I work
on my next course. It's a promise
every golf architect makes but doesn't
always keep. At my Gamble Sands
layout in Washington, I kept it – and
resolve to continue to do so. I further
resolve to make golf fun. It's not
meant to be torture for the average
player; it's meant to be entertaining
and uplifting.
O.D. Vincent, Executive Director,
PGA Tour & Northern Trust Open
My golf resolution for 2016 is sim-
ple: to spend as much time playing at
Gamble Sands as possible. I have
never played a more interesting and
enjoyable course. The area, the people,
and the setting are second to none.
Eric Lohman, General Manager,
PGA, Monarch Beach Golf Links
My golf resolution is to stay in the
"golf" moment longer than it takes a
3-iron shot to land on the green. I'm
going to be more focused, disciplined,
and patient on the golf course. My
professional resolution is to create
some new and exciting events, promo-
tions, and programs to keep Monarch
Beach Golf Links in the forefront of
the avid Orange County golfers mind
all year long. On the personal side,
my resolution is to spend more qual-
ity time with my beautiful family.
Paige Mackenzie, Golf Channel
anchor and LPGA Tour player
My resolution is to have more fun
on the golf course. I have spent so
many years enjoying the game as my
profession – I want to play more
rounds for fun with friends.
Chris van der Velde, General
Manager, Tetherow Golf Club
My New Year's golf resolution is
two-fold: Play more golf – at least
twice a week in season – and qualify
for a senior major championship.
Tim Suzor, THINQ Golf Founder
I'm going to continue working on
the mental game with THINQ Golf.
Jay Larscheid, General Manager,
PGA, Longbow Golf Club
My resolution is to have more fun
and be intentional every day.
