It was an exciting year for the Tour and new products
I
T'S BEEN A WILDLY entertaining and innovative year in the
world of golf – both on and off the course .
In the professional ranks, it was a season for the ages as one of
the PGA Tour's most promising young superstars made a run at
the Grand Slam over the summer, while a teenager
barely old enough to drive rewrote the record books
on the LPGA Tour.
Meanwhile, equipment makers pulled out all
the stops with revolutionary new releases, deliv-
ering some of the most inventive products we've
ever seen. From the unveiling of Titleist's latest ver-
sion of its immensely popular Pro V1 at the beginning
of the year to TaylorMade's recent splash with the launch
of its groundbreaking M1 driver, this has been an unprecedented
year of breakthroughs in the golf industry.
But what's most exciting is what lies ahead. I'm not at liberty
to reveal too many details, but let's just say that we'll definitely
see some surprises as industry leaders take their games to the
next level in 2016. And whether Jordan Spieth makes another run
at golf's Holy Grail or Lydia Ko keeps dazzling us between the
ropes remains to be seen. Still, it should be fun to watch.
