GOLF COURSE IS OPEN FOR PLAY AGAIN
A
s of November 15, the golf course at Classic Club is fully open and
ready for play after a successful fall overseeding.
"Overseeding went well," said Keith Einwag, Director of Agronomy at
Classic Club. "Mother Nature was slow with turning on her air condition-
ing, but mild day temperatures and cool evenings in the beginning of
November really helped the overseeding establish nicely."
At the time of the course re-opening, the winter rye grass had only
been germinating for slightly more than 14 days, and was still maturing
in development, which means that golfers will initially play on a mix
stand of bermuda grass and rye grass.
"This combination means nice playing conditions and that guests
will be able to drive the carts off the paths and on to the fairways," said
Einwag. "Conditions will only get even better with time."
