left Tucson without trying its many off-fairway treats,
from awe-inspiring natural desert attractions and casually
elegant resorts to retail-entertainment districts and unique
restaurants offering every global cuisine imaginable.
"Visitors love our downtown restaurants and nightlife,"
DeRaad said. "Numerous locally owned restaurants, bars,
nightclubs, and live music venues have created a vibrant
downtown that continues to grow in popularity."
Downtown Tucson has been transformed in recent years
due in part to a downtown streetcar that travels from the
University of Arizona campus just northeast of downtown
to 4th Avenue and other downtown districts.
"Fourth Avenue is a wonderfully quirky area with a
wide range of restaurants, bars, and shops," DeRaad said.
OB Sports National Team Championship contenders
and visitors alike should make host venue JW Marriott
Tucson Starr Pass Resort and Spa their first stop. Players
will be welcomed at a special reception at the resort the
evening before tournament rounds start at nearby 36-hole
Randolph Golf Complex.
Tucked in a scenic pocket of West Tucson, the resort
pleases just about any type of guest – from golfers to cou-
ples to families to spa denizens to nature lovers. Hiking
and biking trails, swimming pools, a lazy river, nine holes
of golf, shops, and restaurants all add up to an elegantly
laid-back getaway.
History Channel watchers will cherish a visit to the
iconic Arizona Inn, a charming gem founded in 1930 by
Arizona's first congresswoman Isabella Greenway. This
