TAKE THE CAKE

ith a brand-new theme
every month, Chardonnay
Golf Club dinner parties
are sure to appeal to any appetite.
Chef Adolfo Garcia goes to great
lengths to not only pair each month's
selected liquor with his food, but ac-
tually cook with it.
"Our whole objective is to expose
our guests to something a little dif-
ferent than they're used to, in
a delicious and educa-
tional way," said Octavio
Tavizon, Restaurant Di-
rector at Chardonnay.
First up on the calen-
dar is the Grey Goose Din-
ner on July 10, which will feature
a four-course meal highlighting the
premium vodka – as part of both
food preparation and cocktail mixers.
In August, Chardonnay is teaming
up with its winery partner Rutherford
Ranch Winery to create and serve an-
other fabulous four-course meal,
paired with highlighted wines.

ather's Day at Chardonnay Golf
Club is going to be extra special
this year, with events to cele-
brate Dad in the restaurant and on the
golf course.
"We've held Father's Day events
before," said Octavio Tavizon,
Restaurant Director at Chardonnay
Golf Club, "but we've never taken it
to the level that we're going to this
year."
To start, View Bar and Grill will be
hosting its annual Father's Day BBQ
on the beautiful wraparound patio,
where families can enjoy the sweep-
ing views of the course. Traditional,
down-home cooking is on the menu –
and what dad doesn't like that?
Once dads have helped themselves
to plenty of BBQ, they can meander
over to the golf portion of the day.
PGA professionals will be on hand to
give free clinics, and dads can partici-
pate in some friendly Father's Day
competitions with their kids.
Chardonnay will host a Father-
and-Son Long Drive Competition
and a Father-and-Son Putting Con-
test, with great prizes for winners
of both categories, and you can
always show Dad how much you
really care by treating him to a
round of golf.
"This day will be predominantly
for dads," said Tavizon, "with BBQ,
golf and a whole lot of entertainment
for families – including a bouncy
house for the little ones."
