"I think most people feel very comfortable around me very quickly, and are surprised by how much I know about golf," said Leah. According to Leah, a ParMate's number one responsibility is to "make sure our golfers have a great time! We do this by assisting them with anything they need — from club selection and yardage guidance to getting drinks and selecting music. We do everything a regular caddie would do … ParMates just look a little cuter doing it." What's the most common advice you offer to golfers on the course? Watch out for all the bunkers at Royal Links! Although, it is fun to watch golfers try to escape the "Coffin Bunker" on the 8th hole. I also tell them to relax and have fun. Golf shouldn't be too serious in Las Vegas. What's the biggest misconception golfers have about parMates? That we are just pretty girls that don't know anything about golf! What do you like most about working as a par- Mate? I have always loved sports, and have grown to really love golf. As an active athlete, avid golfer and outgoing adventurer, I love being on the golf course and I love being outside. What's the most unusual thing you've experi- enced on the job? I once saw someone call out that they were going to get a hole-in-one … and then they actually made a hole-in-one! I was very impressed. What one word would you use to describe yourself? Can I have three words? Passionate, ad- venturous and bubbly. What is your motto on the job? 1) What hap- pens on the golf course, stays on the golf course. 2) Tee it high, let it fly. 3) Golf is an easy game. It's just hard to play. are you a golfer? If so, how often do you get to play? Yes! I do aerial fitness training most days so it can be difficult to get out as much as I would like. But, when I'm not caddying or train- ing aerial, I'm on the golf course. Lately, I have been going out to work on my irons. What's your favorite thing about the game of golf? I love the feeling when you connect the driver with the ball and it flies effortlessly down the fairway. I also love relaxing on a beautiful day with friends and being active at the same time. fUn In the sUn parMate leah's love for being out on the golf course is infectious book a tee tIMe
