n JUNIOR GOLF HELPS US GROW THE GAME
T
wo of the things I've learned during my nearly
20 years with OB Sports is that you cannot un-
derestimate the impact junior golf has on the
game – and that following the lead of our Chairman
and Founder Orrin Vincent is never a bad idea.
Orrin was one of the founding board
members in 1978 of the American Junior
Golf Association, an organization
dedicated to the growth and devel-
opment of young players who aspire
to earn college golf scholarships
through competitive junior golf.
The AJGA is where I started my golf
career at the age of 24, and first met Orrin.
That was during Tiger's era, and I had the pleasure of
handing him the winning trophy on many occasions.
Today, I serve on the board of the AJGA, like Orrin
did before me. It's an honor and a privilege to be a
part of that group, and OB Sports is proud to have
hosted more than 80 AJGA events over the years.
All of us here at OB Sports are extremely passion-
ate when it comes to junior golf, and new player de-
velopment in general. We truly love the game of golf,
and are privileged to be a part of it every day.
