W
hile the 2014-15 PGA Tour
season may already be un-
derway, we won't be see-
ing most of the big names until early
January when the Hyundai Tourna-
ment of Champions returns to Hawaii.
With that, here are four things you're
likely to see in the coming year…
TIGER'S COMEBACK
Look for a relaxed, refreshed Tiger
Woods to re-emerge as a leading light
on the PGA Tour.
Woods' 2014 was fragmented and for-
gettable, marred by multiple injury
timeouts. Critics point out that Woods'
driver has been dysfunctional for sev-
eral years, that he's lost the distance ad-
vantage he once enjoyed and that the
putts don't drop like they used to. Yet,
how quickly folks forget that when he
was relatively healthy, he won five
times in 2013, including the Players.
He actually was in strong position
twice in early 2014, once at the Honda
and the next week at Doral. At the
Honda, he posted 71-69-65, then had to
withdraw without completing the
fourth round. At the WGC-Cadillac at
newly toughened Trump Doral, a third-
round 66 vaulted him near the lead, but
his bad back led to a final-round 78.
