T
he best secrets are the
ones you get to share
with friends and neigh-
bors. The Resident Card Pro-
gram at Classic Club is one
secret that as a Coachella Val-
ley resident you should feel
free to spread.
"The Resident Card Pro-
gram was designed to give
back to the community and
those people who live in the
Coachella Valley," said
Dawson Hess, PGA
Head Golf Professional
at Classic Club. "The
benefit is really the op-
portunity to play a
course of this caliber at a
really discounted price
throughout the year."
And with a rates of more
than 50 percent off during the
peak season, it's a program
that residents should welcome.
A yearly $35 membership
fee applies — once you prove
residency — and allows the
Resident Card holder to book
tee times four days in advance.
Everything a full-rate golfer re-
ceives the day of play is in-
cluded for the Residents Card
holder. Daily green fees in-
clude golf cart, range balls, $15
food and beverage voucher,
ball marker, divot tool and
yardage marker.
"The residents feel like
they're members even though
it's a public course," says
Hess. "We have a fair amount
of regulars and they treat the
golf course with the respect
that members treat a private
course, which is great."
The guest rate available to
the Resident Card holders is
also a key item to the program.
Residents can bring up to three
guests, under a special guest
rate, to experience the beauty
of the Classic Club layout.
"The program is really the
generosity of our ownership
group wanting to give back to
the community in any way
they can," Hess said.
