U
sed to be a burger with ba-
con was the closest you'd
get to fine dining at a golf
course restaurant. Not anymore.
And not at Angel Park Golf Club in
Las Vegas. The menu at Nino's
Kitchen is prepared by Chef Ward
Martin, a professional chef for
more than 30 years and one
steeped equally in classic
French cuisine as well as
what he calls "Floribbiean
cuisine," which takes the
best of Floridian and Caribbean
influences, including Cuban food.
After seeing the sleeper hit
movie "Chef," Martin was inspired
to revisit one of his own favorites.
He came up with his version of a
Cuban sandwich that includes Black
Forest ham, marinated pork loin,
Swiss cheese, yellow mustard,
kosher pickles and butter on
an 8-inch Cuban roll.
And at $11, it's one of the
top sellers at a restaurant
that draws golfers from
around the Vegas area.
