ome things tend to get better
with age. That was the case with
the 4th Annual Summer Las
Vegas ParAm Golf Tournament held
August 9 at Bali Hai Golf Club.
The event featured a field of
157 golfers — accompanied by
52 ParMates — participating
in a fun-filled day high-
lighted by an award-winning
course, beautiful female cad-
dies, and more than $25,000 in
prizes and goodie bag swag.
"Taking this event to another level
beyond the first three years was very
important to us," said event organizer
Jason Wright. "I feel we did just that."
The sold-out tournament was so
successful that organizers won't be
waiting until next summer to invite
golfers back to Bali Hai for another
ParMate-themed event.
The inaugural ParMate Classic — a
spin-off of the ParAm tournament —
will debut early next year, with tenta-
tive dates of February 26 – March 1,
2015. Details for the upcoming event
are currently in the planning stages.
"Everyone I have spoken with
has told me how much they
are looking forward to com-
ing back for the next one,"
Wright said. "With the kind
of response we have been
receiving, we knew we needed
to find an in-season date to host
another one."
One of the biggest draws to the
tournament, of course, are the Walters
Golf ParMates, the golf-savvy and at-
tractive women who served as
forecaddies during the day.
"Go to our website and take a look
at the choice of ParMates," Wright
said. "They really add to the fun of
being in Vegas for a round of golf."
