With desert pines, Bill Walters drew inspiration from his roots to build a vegas course unlike any other
hen Bill Walters was considering
making a huge push into Las
Vegas golf in the mid-1990s, he
knew there was plenty of competition.
But rather than modeling his first property after others that had proven successful
in the desert, he remembered his Kentucky
roots.
The result was Desert Pines Golf Club,
one of the most distinct golf courses in the
Las Vegas area. More than 2,000 pine trees,
