CLICK HERE TO INQUIRE ABOUT GOLF INSTRUCTION AT CLASSIC CLUB Strength training Implementing the Three 90s can help unleash more power in your golf swing By David Curtis, PGA Teaching Professional O ne way to unlock more power in your golf swing this season is by incorporating what I refer to as the Three 90s, all of which take place in the back swing. > The first 90 focuses on creating a 90-de- gree shoulder turn with the upper body that separates it from the lower body. Allowing this to take place will give you more time to load the next two key points. > The second 90 is creating a wrist hinge so that the club and lead forearm make a 90-de- gree angle. As you undo this angle on the down swing, the club head will have speed to it. > The last 90 is for the trail arm to have 90 degrees of bend. This will allow a consistent width during the back swing. Practice each of the 90s separately at first. Then, begin to blend them one by one to create a powerful, athletic back swing that will help you unload and smash the ball down the fairway. u u u Swing into success: In addition to private in- struction and lesson packages, Classic Club offers weekly short game and full swing clinics for $35 per person, and three-day golf schools are available beginning December 4-6, running through May 2024. The schools provide personal- ized instruction from PGA Professionals utilizing the expansive practice facilities at Classic Club. GAME IMPROVEMENT
