Tee was finally back in my life!
There is NO other programming
like First Tee and there is NO other
chapter like Coachella Valley, plain
and simple. As Program Director
being able to dedicate the last three
years to growing the classes and
participant opportunities for First
Tee – Coachella Valley has been
an honor and pleasure.
As a program of the Desert Rec-
reation District and managed by
Landmark Golf, the Chapter is in a
wonderful position with registra-
tions and participation at an all-time
high, a coaching staff that is like no
other, and a wonderful board pro-
viding both guidance and support.
I am very proud of all the accom-
plishments the chapter has made,
though the reality is we have only
reached the 4th hole on day one
of a four-day event. First Tee –
Coachella Valley's journey is far
from complete. The chapter is the
player and my role as Executive Di-
rector is that of a caddie. The rela-
tionship is built on collaboration,
communication, trust, and honesty;
and when those four elements
align, goals will be achieved.
Yes, the chapter will find a few
bunkers on its journey, but that
only reinforces the beauty of First
Tee. First Tee doesn't teach partici-
pants to fear life's bunkers, First
Tee teaches participants to grow
through challenges, persevere, and
to overcome obstacles. As the
chapter's ED I will be there every
step of the way; from the tee box
until the last putt is holed.
As your new Executive Director, I
will make the following promises
to its participants and families:
> I will continue the growth and
success of the chapter.
> My door is always open for col-
laboration.
> The candy jar will always be
filled with Peanut Butter Cups.
