Classic Club receives top honor in Southern California
I
t's Awards Season in Southern
California – and Classic Club
is a winner! The prestigious
course review platform Greens-
Keeper.org (motto: "Know Before
You Go") has honored Classic
Club with its "Best Playing Con-
ditions" award in 2022 for all of
Southern California.
GreensKeeper.org, among the
most credible and longstanding
golf course review platforms in
the industry, consists of more than
75,000 members. The Best Playing
Conditions in Southern California
award was derived from analyz-
ing the last 12 months of online
ratings and reviews submitted by
site users of GreensKeeper.org.
Comments posted to the site
were universally positive. "Course
is in great shape…I wish my yard
looked so green," wrote one re-
viewer. "Fairways were lush,
green and incredible," wrote an-
other. "Bunkers were real nice,
easy to hit from with nice white
sand. Greens were smooth and
medium-fast. Just all-around great
conditions."
"We take great pride in our
awards," said John Hakim, the
CEO and Founder of Greens-
Keeper.org. "They hold a high
amount of credibility among
golfers and the industry."
For Classic Club Director of
Agronomy Tony Spannaus, the
award is a much-appreciated pat
on the back.
"I'm just extremely grateful for
my crew putting in the hard work
every day and to our general man-
ager and the H.N. and Frances C.
Berger Foundation for giving us
everything we need to do our
job," he said. "The course is in
great shape right now. We've been
receiving a lot of really positive
feedback from our guests and I
couldn't be more pleased with
how everything is going."
