How the agronomy team
keeps course conditions
up to par at Classic Club

olf course conditions are
fantastic right now as the turf
throughout the property has
come in really nice and looks amazing
following our fall overseeding of the
greens, tees, fairways and roughs.
For us, the overseeding process has
been greatly simplified over the past
few years.
We used to spend a lot of time
(about a week) scalping and prepping
the course, but now we just put a final
mow on all surfaces and drop seed.
This extra week of growth before
opening has helped out tremendously
and has allowed for a more mature rye
grass plant, but it still takes us about
six days to get everything mowed,
edged, cleaned, and seeded.
At Classic Club, we have four crews
that each perform separate tasks. There
