CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES!
The Warburton raises a record $3.9 million for the kids
W
e had high expectations for The Warburton in 2022, the 12th
annual charity golf tournament hosted by well-known actor
Patrick Warburton. The tournament returned to Classic Club
(and new co-host Desert Willow) February 24-27 after it was
cancelled in 2021 due to the pandemic, and not only were
those expectations met – they were dramatically exceeded.
Both Classic Club and Desert Willow were in pristine
condition and provided the perfect venues for the event.
I'd like to thank our team, Classic Club's ownership, the
H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation, and all of our spon-
sors and partners for their contributions as we heard nothing but
great feedback on the course, staff and execution of the event.
Fittingly, "Play to Give" is the motto at Classic Club – and at The War-
burton this year, the giving was off the charts. The tournament raised a
record-breaking $3,943,005 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital,
bringing the total raised over 12 years to more than $22 million.
It was a nice increase from 2020's $3.6 million, and the awards banquet
at Classic Club featuring the In-N-Out Truck was a huge hit as well.
Songwriters' Night, the Saturday Soiree gala and the Friday night
Rheneypalooza Jam, with surprise guests actor/musician Dennis Quaid,
Mike Reno of Loverboy, and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top wowed everyone
who attended. Perhaps another Rheneypalooza performer, Al Paris of
Kool and the Gang summed up The Warburton best: "Celebrate good
times – come on!"
