Tournament season kicks into high gear at Classic Club with an array of outings
ALL IN A DAY'S WORK
The Coachella Valley branch of the
American Public Worker's Associa-
tion will hold the 2021 Bob Ross
Memorial Golf Tournament on
Friday, December 3. The event
features a four-player scramble
with proceeds benefiting the APWA
scholarship and education fund.
Foursomes are $575 each or $150
per individual and include green
fees, cart, practice balls and lunch.

BACK TEE SPORTS PRO-AM
The inaugural Back Tee Sports Pro-
Am takes place on three Coachella
Valley courses December 5-8, includ-
ing Classic Club. Competition will
also take place on the Pete Dye and
Gary Player courses at The Westin
Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa, and
will feature separate scoring formats
and payouts each day.

A HOSPITABLE EVENT
The Palm Springs Hospitality
Association will hold its annual
Clubs For Kids Golf Tournament
at Classic Club on Wednesday,
December 8. The tournament
benefits the Boys & Girls Club of
Palm Springs and the group's
scholarship fund.

SUPPORTING SENIORS
The Foundation on Aging will
hold its 8th Annual Charity Golf
Tournament at Classic Club on
Saturday, December 11. Individual
registration is available for $200
and foursomes are $800. Proceeds
from the event help address the
needs of older adults and will
support programs of the Riverside
County Office on Aging. Registration
includes green fees, cart, range privi-
leges, and much more.

FUN TIMES AHEAD
The 4th Annual Palm Springs Golf
Championships return to the
Coachella Valley January 9-12.
Competitors in the net division will
compete in the final round at Classic
Club on January 12, with the first
two rounds of the 54-hole event
being played on the Pete Dye Dunes
Course and the Pete Dye Mountain
Course at PGA WEST. The tournament
also includes a gross division and
there are multiple flights for men
and women.

A TASTE OF TOUR ACTION
The U.S. Am Tour, a nationwide se-
ries of amateur golf tournaments
open to anyone who wishes to com-
pete on the local, regional, and ulti-
mately national level, will make a
stop at Classic Club on Sunday,
January 16. The entry fee is $170.
