with The First Tee
Coachella Valley to
provide clubs for kids

GA WEST has partnered
with The First Tee Coachella
Valley in an effort to get
more clubs in kids' hands.
The Greg Norman Golf Shop will
serve as a new donation site for the
youth organization, and members,
guests and residents are encouraged
to contribute their old or gently used
gear, whether it be golf clubs, bags,
shoes or apparel.
Some of the clubs will be matched
with kids who can use them; the rest
will be sold with the proceeds going
toward buying new equipment and
funding for lead instructors.
"There are 63,000 young people in
our service area, and we want to get a
golf club in the hands of all of those
kids," said Teal Guion, Executive
Director of The First Tee Coachella
Valley, which strives to positively
impact the lives of young people
through golf. "Our goal is to keep
growing program locations and
reaching areas of the Valley where we
have not been able to get to the kids."
