we have one of the best wine programs in
the desert," said Ruan Krugel, Assistant
General Manager. "Winning the award was
a validation of the efforts we started mak-
ing to create a more balanced wine list that
offers incredible value to consumers across
all price points."
At Bellatrix, guests can find
cult, rare and collectable wines
that many connoisseurs only
read about, Krugel said, "except,
we list them at pricing where
people can actually buy and
enjoy the bottle."
Bellatrix offers a large number
of wines that are not only great
representations of the varietal,
but also their origins – geo-
graphic and cultural – such as the Chateau
Montelena Estate Cabernet (pictured).
"We try to be mindful of bringing in
wines that have a great story and a sense of
place," Krugel said. "Not only does this
wine have a storied history, but what's in
the bottle lives up to the hype. We have
multiple vintages, including 2004, 2008,
2010 and 2014 listed for $139, which is less
than what this wine sells for online. No-
tably, this classic estate produces wines
that need a bit of bottle-age to truly shine.
That '04 is drinking incredibly well, having
been fortunate enough to recently sample
this vintage."
Recognition for the wine program at Bel-
latrix meant a lot, Krugel added.
"It serves to put us on the map as a go-to
destination for great wines," he said.

2 p.m. and dinner Friday-Saturday from
4:30-7:30 p.m. In addition, special drink
pricing is offered all day so draft beers,
house wines and well drinks are $4 each.
The lunch menu features something for
everyone, including salads and sandwiches
as well as the Bellatrix Burger. Bellatrix is
regularly changing and updating the din-
ner menu to reflect seasonality and to
allow the culinary team to express its
creativity.
Bellatrix Restaurant is currently open for lunch and dinner, and al fresco dining is available.
