C
lassic Club is consid-
ered one of the most
beautiful and fun golf
courses you can play in
the Coachella Valley.
It can also be challenging. And
with the back tees maxing out at
7,322 yards combined with
thought-provoking greens and
hazards sprinkled in between,
birdie holes can transform into
double bogeys if things happen to
go south with your game.
While golfers of all abilities can
experience great rounds at Classic
Club, every once in a while you're
sure to have one of those days
when the bounces don't to go your
way and you'd rather not hold
onto your scorecard.
Here, Classic Club Tournament
Coordinator Joe Fritz offers some
helpful hints on how to bounce
back from a bad round…
Move forward
There is no connection between
a bad round and the next round
you play. A difficult round is sim-
ply going to happen from time to
time, whether you're a high handi-
capper or a professional. There is
no reason to dwell on it, so move
forward and focus on the golf that
you're capable of playing.

Keep it simple
Golf is not a game of perfect.
That means that you might shoot a
high score once in a while, but that
doesn't always mean you have to
complicate things by making
changes to your swing. Simplify
your game by looking at the basic
fundamentals such as grip, align-
ment, stance and posture. These
basic fixes should help you get
back to shooting the scores you're
used to seeing.
turn a negative into a positive
Reflect on your bad round, and
if you have the chance to get in a
practice session before your next
time on the golf course, focus on
the weak links in your game where
you might have lost those extra
strokes, such as around the greens.

take a break
After a round that you'd like to
forget, sometimes it's healthy to
take your mind off the game. Take
a few days off and spend time on
other activities that you enjoy. This
will allow your mind to recharge
before hitting the course again.

One bad round won't define you
There's always going to be an-
other day to redeem yourself on
the golf course. Your "A" game
might not show up every round,
so shake it off and learn from it.
