INSIDE CLASSIC CLUB
A YEAR TO CELEBRATE
Course conditions shine as we welcome The Warburton
I
t's going to be an exciting new year at Classic Club in 2020. The
bunker renovation that took place last summer turned out better
than expected and has been well received. The course is in pris-
tine shape for the golf season with excellent playing conditions,
and I'm excited for returning golfers to get the chance to
experience the course this year.
Another exciting change our guests will notice oc-
curred during our winter rye grass overseed
process. We decided to let the Bermuda grass rough
go dormant from November through March, which
will help conserve millions of gallons of effluent
water, but also creates a visually striking contrast
among the greens, tees and fairways.
The course is in great shape as we again welcome back
The Warburton back to Classic Club in early March, an annual event
that will celebrate its 10th year and that has helped raise more than
$12 million for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
We are so grateful to the owners of Classic Club – the H.N. and
Frances C. Berger Foundation – for their support of this event and are
extremely proud of what we've been able to accomplish and raise in
the fight to cure childhood cancer. We've been breaking fund-raising
records year after year, and I'm hopeful we will do it again in 2020.
Check out this issue if you'd like to learn more about The Warbur-
ton, and I hope you, too, can come out and enjoy the course soon!
