Classic Club set to host is fifth straight U.S. Open qualifier
W
hen Classic Club was designed by golf legend Arnold
Palmer, it was done so with the idea that the course would
test some of the best golfers in the world. And it certainly
has, having hosted the former Bob Hope Classic and top collegiate tour-
naments over the years.
This month, Classic Club will provide another chal-
lenge to aspiring champions – those who hope to earn
a spot in the 119th U.S. Open at Pebble Beach Golf
Links June 13-16. This will be the fifth straight year
Classic Club has hosted a qualifier for the event, and
hopefully, one of the participants will be lucky and
talented enough to make it all the way to the first tee at
Pebble Beach. That's one of the great things about the
U.S. Open – you never know!
In other exciting news at the club, it won't be long now until we
begin our major bunker renovation so I encourage golfers to get out on
the course while they can. Check out this issue for all the details and
course closure dates. And if you're a regular at Bellatrix, don't worry.
The restaurant and golf shop will remain open during course construc-
tion during our regular business hours.
Finally, if you're looking for a way to celebrate mom, don't forget our
Mother's Day buffet at Bellatrix as it is an outstanding way to show
your appreciation. Or, you can pick up something nice in our golf shop
as we have a great selection of women's apparel and accessories, some
of which are highlighted in this issue. See you on the course!
