Plenty to be excited about as golf season kicks off

elcome to the Spring edition of The Players Club
Insider! There's a lot to cover, so let's dive right in…
First off, we'd like to send a big shout out to Skylinks Golf
Course. The Players Club track has been a staple on the Long
Beach golf scene for 60 years and was recently honored by
the California Golf Course Owners Association as its 2018
Course of the Year. With so many outstanding proper-
ties located throughout the state, the award was quite
an honor and we couldn't be more proud.
Speaking of Skylinks, competitors of all ages and
skill levels will descend upon the track – along with
Recreation Park and El Dorado Park – as the Long
Beach Golf Festival swings into action beginning in late
April. Now entering its 31st year, the Festival features an
array of tournaments and continues to make a name for itself
as one of the premier golf competitions in the country.
And, if you're looking to get your game in shape, check out
the instruction piece in this issue from renowned teacher Dana
Dahlquist, who explains how to eliminate your crooked shots.
On a final note, we'd like to welcome our newest member
to The Players Club roster: Los Verdes Golf Course in Rancho
Palos Verdes. Considered by many to be among the best golf
values anywhere with some of the best ocean views in the
state of California, Los Verdes is a welcome addition to The
Players Club. We hope to see you out there this spring!
