MY GOOD FRIEND CONTINUES TO HELP SHAPE THE INDUSTRY
W
e've put together another great edition of the WGS Insider that
features plenty of exciting news in the industry, but there's
something else about this issue that makes it extra special for me – we
feature one of my best friends, Bill Price, the Senior Direc-
tor of Product Development at TaylorMade Golf.
I've known Bill for many, many years. We play golf
together, we dine together, we vacation together, and I
think he has one of the most brilliant minds in our
game. In his long and illustrious career, he has helped
produce ground-breaking products that have helped
make the sport more enjoyable for all to play.
In addition to many products that were technological and
financial successes, Bill was also instrumental in the wave of white
that splashed across the golf industry in 2011 when TaylorMade
launched its first snow-colored drivers that became a huge hit with
pros and amateurs alike. And, I'm proud to say, my friend continues
to keep up the good work.
TaylorMade is in the midst of launching the Spider Interactive line
of putters that are highlighted in this issue. It's no surprise to me that
Bill and TaylorMade would be on the forefront of technology, offering
golfers the first club that can provide them a wealth of feedback on
their putting stroke, and it's an exciting development for our game.
I hope you enjoy this issue and learn more about my friend Bill
Price as well as some of the other great products launching in the
game right now.
