SUMMER SIZZLE
Golf course upgrades in the works over the coming months
S
ummer is here and the heat is on in the Coachella Valley – and
we have several hot topics to talk about in this edition of the
Insider. Let's start with the golf course.
The big news is that we've received approval from ownership
for a complete bunker renovation. We're already in the
early planning stages for the project and work is set to
commence next year. You can check out our inter-
view with Classic Club's Director of Agronomy
Andrew Rebman, who will explain the ongoing
process, why it's necessary, and how it will posi-
tively impact the golf course.
The course also will be closed for several days to-
ward the end of July as we aerify the greens for the sec-
ond time this year, continuing with maintenance work that will help
keep Classic Club a PGA Tour-quality facility for years to come.
There are still plenty of opportunities to play golf this summer,
too, as the course will be open Wednesday-Sunday through August
before we re-open seven days a week for the season. You can also
come in to relax and cool off at Bellatrix Restaurant after your round
and enjoy some of the new items on our summer menu.
And to help you play better golf this summer, our instruction arti-
cle focuses on ways to keep your mind sharp when things heat up
on the course. We also highlight a few items available in the golf
shop to help you keep your cool.
