And the company is touting its latest iteration – the new G400 series – as its most technologically advanced and player-friendly clubs to date. The line includes drivers, fairway metals, irons, hy- brids and crossovers, all designed to maximize player enjoyment while assisting in lowering scores. The highlights of the line are PING's fastest and most-forgiving driver, as well as irons that deliver tour-level distance and ball flight. "Some of our guys have tested out the driver, and with the higher loft and lower spin, they're gaining some distance with it," said Richard Majowicz, manager at Golfers' Warehouse in Hartford, Con- necticut. "They made it a beautiful club that looks really great. There's definitely an improvement over the previous model – in the feel, look and perform- ance they're getting off the launch monitors. With three different models, there's an option that will work for every golfer." The newly designed clubhead improves aerodynam- ics for more speed while raising the moment of inertia higher than any previous PING driver. Combined with a thinner, forged face, that means golfers will see in- creased ball speed resulting in greater distance and tighter dispersion. Response from the world's top golfers has been swift. "We've never seen faster conversion to a new prod- uct than we did at this year's U.S. Open, with 13 driv- ers in play the first week it was available," said PING Chairman and CEO John A. Solheim. "The players im- mediately loved the look of the driver and became en- amored with the powerful sound and feel." Three head options are available: standard, engi- neered to fit most golfers; straight flight, which cor- rects left-to-right flight for right-handed golfers; and low spin, which positions the tungsten weight closer to the face to reduce spin.
