WHAT'S NEW ver.indd 1 12/1/1 ver.indd 1 12/1/1 ver.indd 1 12/1/1 ver.indd 1 12/1/1 L ong synonymous with elite manufacturing in terms of putters, Ping's new advancements in its i200 iron and new Glide 2.0 wedges are further testament to the company's full line of clubs. The i200 iron offers the com- pany's customary clean look but with changes to the face and cavity structure that promote great forgiveness, exceptional feel and distance. Though con- ceived for shot-makers, the feel of the iron makes it suitable for every type of golfer. The head of the club is de- signed to pro- mote distance but also hori- zontal and vertical trajec- tory control "I'm most excited about the Ping i200, in part, because of the rich history of the i fam- ily of irons," said Nate McDo- nough, Marketing and Purchasing Assistant for Worldwide Golf Shops. "The newest rendition offers a player's topline with high- launching sole weight character- istics, a rare combination. It should fit perfectly between the much-beloved G and iblade families. And I wouldn't be sur- prised to see the i200 irons on tour in 2017." Meanwhile, the new Glide 2.0 wedges are a major break- through for Ping, particularly in the sharper groove edges that increase spin rates and trajec- tory control, including lower ball flights and consistent carry distances. Closer to the green, the wedges interact well with a variety of turfs and the ball reacts precisely off the face, providing more control. "The Glide wedge is new and improved in the form of the 2.0 version," McDonough said. "Not only does it offer more spin off each shot by utilizing tighter groove dispersion, it also became more versatile for every lie by offering improved grind options. With wedges, versatil- ity is key." Ping also recently launched a new line of clubs for women. "With so much success from the G family of clubs, it only makes sense for Ping to build on the technology and produce a family of clubs de- signed specifically for women," McDonough said. "The GLe family does exactly that by combining the Dragonfly Crown with lightweight shaft technol- ogy to optimize performance in moderate swing speeds. This will definitely be a product to know come Mother's Day." shop here. ping i1200 irons and glide 2.0 wedges new additions to the family bring air of eXcitement movin' on up meet the new boss J ohn Karsten Sol- heim, the oldest son of John A.
